Gigi Buffon is relishing the first Juventus game back from the lockdown with the Coppa Italia semi-final against Milan. ‘It’s an important step for the country.’

It kicks off at 20.00 UK time (19.00 GMT), follow the build-up and action as it happens on the LIVEBLOG.

“They’re wonderful sensations, of being back into a certain slightly abnormal sense of normality,” Buffon told Rai Sport after three months of lockdown.

“It’s an important step, as football has always affected the mood of the country, so I think getting it back is important for all of Italy.

“It has certainly been a difficult time for everyone, something nobody was accustomed to dealing with, so at times that sense of uncertainty affected our mood, as with all people, I’d imagine.”

Buffon is expected to start tonight and is on track to match Roberto Mancini’s record of Coppa Italia triumphs.

“I’ve won a great deal in my career, so I am already satisfied. The story of Juventus continues, so naturally, I’d like to go for everything possible, including the opportunity to match Roberto Mancini’s Coppa Italia record.”
