Both Brahim Diaz and Sergino Dest have avoided serious injuries for Milan, but remain in doubt for the Champions League trip to Dinamo Zagreb.

The Spain international bagged a brace in last night’s 4-1 Serie A victory over Monza, while Dest went off at half-time.

According to Sky Sport Italia, tests this morning showed that there are no muscular lesions, so they have managed to avoid any serious damage.

It remains to be seen if they will be able to start Tuesday’s Champions League showdown with Dinamo Zagreb.

Both are likely to be in the squad, but Stefano Pioli could opt not to risk them in the starting XI.

Brahim Diaz has been diagnosed with a gluteal twinge, while Dest seems to be worse off.

Milan are currently third in their Champions League group on four points along with Dinamo Zagreb, while RB Salzburg have six and Chelsea seven.

The Rossoneri are ahead because they beat Dinamo Zagreb 3-1 at San Siro, but nobody has yet won away to the Croatians.

They beat Chelsea 1-0 here, the result that got Thomas Tuchel sacked, then held RB Salzburg 1-1.
