Marco Borriello says it was “easy” to decide to join Cagliari, and has a bet with Christian Vieri.
The former Milan, Roma and Juventus striker has joined the Isolani, and was officially presented today.
“My choice? It was easy,” Borriello explained.
“Cagliari is a historic and ambitious club, I’ve come here to play not just for the city but for the whole region. I made the choice right away, because I really wanted to come here.

“I’ll give my soul to honour this shirt, and I hope I can help us hang on to our valuable Serie A status that my teammates earned last year.
“I haven’t been promised anything, if I get a starting shirt it’ll be because I deserved it.”
The Press conference featured a video message from Christian Vieri, who promised to pay for Borriello’s summer holiday if he scores more than 15 goals, while less than 15 will see the new signing pay for Bobo’s vacation.
