Giacomo Bonaventura admits winning the Scudetto this year “will be very difficult” for Milan.

The Rossoneri have spent big this summer thanks to the new Chinese owners, and are targeting at least a place in the top-four.

Some have suggested they could even make a title challenge straight away, but Bonaventura is urging caution.

“There’s a lot of enthusiasm, also for having so many new signings,” the midfielder told Milan TV, as he answered fan questions.

Some have suggested they could even make a title challenge straight away, but Bonaventura is urging caution.

“There’s a lot of enthusiasm, also for having so many new signings,” the midfielder told Milan TV, as he answered fan questions.

“We’ve started well but we know the league will be long and difficult, and we need to keep feeding this enthusiasm.

“The Scudetto? It will be very difficult, there are teams like Juventus, Napoli and Roma who have proven themselves to be ahead of us in recent years.

“With work though we can grow and reach that level. We got [Leonardo] Bonucci from Juve, who is a player I didn’t expect we could get here.

“He’s a great player and can really help us. I think he was the most impactful signing.”

Bonaventura was also asked for the best player he’s faced in his career.

“I played against [Zlatan] Ibrahimovic once when he was at Milan and his physical strength really impressed me. So him, or [Andrea] Pirlo for his class.”
