Valeri Bojinov could be handed a third opportunity to ply his trade in Serie A as his agent admits Italy is an option this January.

The 25-year-old former Lecce, Fiorentina” data-scaytid=”5″>Fiorentina and Juventus” data-scaytid=”6″>Juventus forward is set for a move this month just six months on from leaving Parma for Portugal’s Sporting CP.

The forward, who has scored 47 goals in two separate spells in Italy, has reportedly been made available for transfer after falling out of favour with the Lisbon club.

After taking a last-minute penalty off of a teammate, only to miss, the Bulgaria international has reportedly been indefinitely banned from the club’s training ground and stadium for going against team orders.

Speaking to Tuttomercatoweb.com, Bojinov’s agent Gerry Palomba confirmed that the footballer is likely to leave, initially on loan, and that there is interest from the peninsula.

“I can confirm that Sporting’s intention is to sent Valeri away on loan for the rest of the season. There is a lot of anger surrounding the boy, everything is just over a missed penalty.

“Lecce and Fiorentina are on him as are many European teams, from Switzerland, Spain and Ukraine [Dynamo Kiev] for example.

“I have not been contacted by Fiorentina, but he would be happy to return to Italy. The problem of his return, though, could come in the deal.”

There is an element of confusion over ownership of the player, given that on announcement of his arrival in the summer, Sporting confirmed their deal with Parma was for just 80 per cent of his contract.
