Andrea Belotti is continuing to wait for an approach from Milan but nothing has arrived yet as Fiorentina begin to make a move.

The 28-year-old Italian striker is leaving Torino on a free transfer this month, ending a seven-year association. Belotti rose to prominence with the Granata in his second season, where he netted 26 goals in 35 Serie A appearances. Many expected him to make the jump to a top club that summer, but he stayed with Torino and ultimately became their talisman.

As reported by La Stampa, Belotti has been hoping of a Milan approach this summer but so far nothing has occurred, leaving him stuck in limbo. Playing in Europe is key for the 28-year-old, so he’s turned down an ambitious Monza and a possible contract renewal in Turin.

Fiorentina, despite the recent denials, are still the strongest candidate to secure Belotti’s signature this summer. The Italian would be the central striker in Vincenzo Italiano’s 4-3-3 system.

  1. It would be great if Belotti is thinking of his retirement soon. He successfully knocked out Italy from two world cup qualifiers. If he continues to play for Italy, Italy will fail to qualify 2026 world cup too. Please announce your retirement and save Italy.

  2. I kinda believe this is a no-brainer. The talent is there, his motivation will flourish playing for his dream club and Milan have exactly which striker who is younger? Leao does best playing off a striker, not AS THE striker. Rebic is clearly a left-winger. Has anyone seen Lazetic play yet? Is Maldini ready to step up as front man?

I haven’t seen anyone linked for the striker position, but do we have the funds to buy a better striker?

If 30 mill goes for Botman, 30 for De Ketelaere, and however much for Renato Sanchez and if they go for it, Brahim Diaz… Noa Lang won’t be free and 100 mill only goes so far when the asking prices for our departures is as low as the case is this summer.

Samu, Saelemaekers, Messias, none of them should be the first choice on RW, ideally 2 or even 3 of them goes this summer (Samu, Messias, Alexis, in my own priority)

Leao and Rebic is fine on left.
Kessie is leaving the trequartista role open and we need someone ahead of Maldini and (if he stays) Diaz.

Yeah, I’d definitely sign Belotti – Zlatans paycut covers his salary added to the balance sheet.
