The former Cagliari man limped off the pitch in the final minute of Inter’s 2-1 win over Udinese yesterday but reassured the Nerazzurri fans after the final whistle.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the 25-year-old met some Nerazzurri supporters after the game at the Dacia Arena yesterday and told them that he felt well while taking selfies and signing autographs for them.

Barella won’t undergo medical examinations today, suggesting that his injury is not too severe.

The report also claims that Barella could partially train with the group tomorrow, preparing for Friday’s home game against Empoli at the Stadio Meazza. The Italy international has scored three goals and delivered 11 assists in 44 appearances across all competitions this term.

Inter are two points behind table-leaders Milan with three games remaining. They will also play in the Coppa Italia Final against Juventus on Wednesday, May 11.

  2. From what I’ve seen so far, everything mentioned is pure hearsay.
    Inter will check his knee for sure, even if for precautionary measure.
    Can’t go into the last 3 league matches not being sure of his health, now can we?
