Mario Balotelli posted two cryptic Instagram stories after Roberto Mancini said the striker was a ‘closed chapter’ for Italy.
The 32-year-old, currently under contract with Sion in Switzerland, has 14 goals in 36 appearances with the Azzurri but made his last appearance with La Nazionale in 2018 in a 1-1 draw against Poland.
Mancini admitted on Monday that he wouldn’t call the former Inter and Milan striker again, and Balotelli posted two Instagram stories after the CT’s claims.
One, shared on Monday, showed his avatar laughing, while the second one was a video with these words: “You don’t become king by chasing the queen; you become king by chasing the crown.”
