According to Marca, Davide Ancelotti will leave Real Madrid at the end of the season, getting his first managerial role at Basel.

Ancelotti’s son, 33, has reportedly decided to leave his father’s coaching staff, beginning his career as a first-team coach.

Davide had held talks with Everton in January but is expected to get his first managerial role in Switzerland next season.

According to Marca, Ancelotti Jr. is the leading candidate to take over at Basel in 2023-24 and is ‘close’ to signing his first contract as a first-team coach. He was his father’s assistant coach at Napoli and Bayern Munich before Real Madrid.

Carlo Ancelotti’s contract at the Estadio Bernabeu expires in June 2024, and he’s been linked with the Brazil job.

Nevertheless, the Italian tactician could leave the La Liga giants in the summer if he fails to win the Champions League again this season.

Ancelotti confirmed Brazil’s interest last week but insisted that he is not considering leaving Real Madrid before the end of his contract unless he gets sacked.
