Mino Raiola insists “Italy don’t have a better striker than Mario Balotelli” and says Juventus “are still the team to beat”.

The agent gave a long interview on Radio Crc today, and after discussing Gigio Donnarumma and Napoli, he turned his attention to the Nice forward, one of his most famous clients.

“Against Napoli Balotelli wasn’t fit,” Raiola noted, referring to the Champions League play-off second leg.

“He played, he wasn’t at 100 per cent and he got unwarranted criticism. In my opinion we don’t have a better striker than Mario Balotelli in Italy, he should play for the national team.

“With [CT Giampiero] Ventura we’ve had several problems, I’m worried about Italian football.”

Raiola also discussed the Scudetto race, and sees Juve as favourites after six titles in a row.

“Right now Juve are campione d’Italia and the Bianconeri are still a great side. Napoli are now a great team though, they’ve found their size, and I think Roma could spring a surprise.

“The Milanese clubs have followed a policy I don’t agree with. I don’t see the point at Milan, we’ll see how they do when the most difficult games come around.”
