More details are emerging on the Bayer Leverkusen bid to sign Robin Gosens, as Inter are giving it serious thought with Mitchel Bakker going the other way.

Multiple sources in Italy claim this evening that Bayer Leverkusen are making a strong attempt to get German international Gosens before Thursday’s transfer deadline.

Their directors are in Milan for face-to-face talks and Gosens is expected to be on the bench in tonight’s game with Cremonese.

There are different theories circulating as to the exact nature of the proposal, which in itself is complex because Gosens is technically only on loan from Atalanta with an obligation to buy for €15m plus another €10m in various add-ons.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the offer is circa €28m including bonuses.

Sportitalia have the figure lower at a €3m loan with obligation to buy for another €22m.

Now Tuttomercatoweb suggest Bayer Leverkusen have offered an exchange that would being Mitchel Bakker to Inter as his replacement.

The 22-year-old Netherlands international only arrived from PSG last summer for €7m.

He could be beneficial to Inter because Bakker can also play as a centre-back, therefore giving Simone Inzaghi another option after President Steven Zhang refused to bring in Francesco Acerbi from Lazio.

  1. How was such a vile comment allowed to be posted? Is there not a check for such things? Come on Football Italia, you really should remove this.
