Torino are in negotiations with Leicester City to bring Dennis Praet back on loan, with Simone Verdi towards Hellas Verona and Simone Zaza prepared to terminate his contract.

The Granata are revamping this summer under coach Ivan Juric, as director Davide Vagnati tries to shake off their ugly row and build a team suited to his tactician.

Sky Sport Italia, Sportitalia and more all report today that after weeks of holding out, Leicester City are now prepared to let Praet move on loan.

They had wanted a permanent transfer only, but the 28-year-old is eager for a return to Torino, where he already spent last season on loan.

It’s a risky tactic, as his contract only runs to June 2024 and Leicester paid Sampdoria €19.2m to purchase Praet in 2019.

Elsewhere, Toro are trying to get rid of the players who are not part of Juric’s plans.

Verdi is expected to join Hellas Verona on loan with an obligation to buy at certain conditions, specifically if Verona stay in Serie A and he hits a specific goal target.

As for centre-forward Zaza, he is working to terminate his contract by mutual consent so he can find himself a new club as a free agent.

  1. Yet again Rogers is letting go somebody he personally has a disagreement with at the detriment to the club, Praet is a ready made replacement for Tielemans, whether he goes or not he has showed that he does not want to play for Leicester

  2. Bit of a disservice to Zaza who was able to produce in games where Belotti struggled. Should have given him the summer to land a new club.
