Robin Gosens has struggled for form and playing time at Inter, so it’s reported Bayer Leverkusen have made an attempt to sign him in the final days of the transfer window.

The deadline is on Thursday evening, which not only gives these two clubs very little time to reach an agreement, but also even less opportunity for the Nerazzurri to secure a replacement.

According to Sportitalia, Bayer Leverkusen have approached Inter with a proposal to sign Gosens.

Sky Sport Italia even claims that Bayer Leverkusen representatives are in Milan for face-to-face talks with Inter.

The offer is a paid loan with obligation to buy for €28m.

The 28-year-old German international was one of the best left-sided wing-backs in the world when playing for Atalanta.

He already had an injury when he made the €15m plus up to another €10m bonuses move to Inter in January 2022.

However, it has taken far longer than anyone expected for him to shake off that issue and regain his form.

Gosens has made just 12 competitive appearances for Inter, contributing one goal and one assist.

Technically speaking, Gosens is only on loan until June 2023, so this would represent a huge profit for Inter.
