The former Milan Coach has considered today a number of topics, including the possibility of a return to Italy.

“In truth I've thought about it quite a lot,” Ancelotti has conceded in an interview with Radio Anch'io Sport.

“I've enjoyed working abroad, I wouldn't go back now.

“I might do that in the future, but right now I'm happy away from Italy.

“But my thoughts about Italian football are still positive. Italy remain competitive, there's only a difference in terms of the culture.

“The stadiums are emptier by comparison with other countries, and there's more violence. But that's not what keeps me away from Serie A, I'm just happy to go to new places and have new experiences abroad.

“There are some differences in the way that supporters protest in Spain and in Italy.

“Here they never go beyond a few boos at the stadium. Real Madrid worked hard in the last few years to get rid of the violent supporters and they succeeded.

“Supporters here have high expectations, but reading about tifosi in Italy who invade the training grounds is very sad,” said the 55-year-old, in reference to the Cagliari players assaulted during training.

“It's time to put an end to it, the players can't be held hostage by brainless supporters.”

Ancelotti was also asked about the possibility of facing Juventus in the Champions League, but he was not enthusiastic about the idea.

“It'll be tough to play the Bianconeri if they make it to the semi-finals, but then there are no easy opponents at this stage. Juve can make it among Europe's top four.”
