Carlo Ancelotti has reflected that continuing links of a future with Roma or the Italian national team may never come true.
The 54-year-old is known for his affinity held for the Giallorossi, having spent nine years at the Olimpico as a player, and has often been linked with the capital club’s bench during his coaching career.

Similarly, speculation has been that the current Real Madrid Coach is also a future candidate to lead the Azzurri.
However, considering both positions, the former Parma, Juventus” data-scaytid=”5″>Juventus and Milan boss offered a third possibility after his spell in Spain comes to an end.
“It is not the first time that I have been asked this question about my future,” began Ancelotti in response to Sky Sport 24’s probing on Roma and Italy on the horizon.
“I can only say that after Real Madrid we will see what I will do, but it is possible that I may decide to retire from coaching.”
Ancelotti turned his attention to Roma’s current work under Rudi Garcia, which has them top of Serie A on a 100 per cent record.
“I really like Roma, I can only imagine what is going on in the city these days. I’m very happy for the Coach, I have known him since my days with Paris Saint-Germain and his teams have always played very well.
“I’m glad he is doing well. If Milan cannot win the League, I hope that Roma do.”
The Italian has seen two former players in Pippo Inzaghi and Gennaro Gattuso move into management in recent months.
“Inzaghi has started an important process, I think he is at the right team [Milan’s reserves] to gain experience. To be a first team Coach is another thing, but it will come.
“To me, Gattuso can also do well and whilst he has not had a good start [sacked by Palermo], he could use that experience to become a great Coach.”
