As Italy train today in Naples, Mario Balotelli is reported as ‘available’ for tomorrow night’s World Cup qualifier with Armenia.

The Milan man had suffered a slight injury scare in the build-up to Friday’s 2-2 draw with Denmark and eventually sat out the fixture due to illness.

Whilst this also saw his training on Saturday limited, the striker has continued his recovery from Sunday with a full workout in Monday morning’s training session held at Quarto Flegreo in Naples.

“Balotelli has been better since yesterday, he is recovering quietly from all the problems,” the Azzurri’s chief medic Enrico Castellacci told reporters today.

“Today he will train with the group and we are confident for his condition.

“He will be available for tomorrow night against Armenia, but the CT will decide whether or not to play him.”

Cesare Prandelli divided his group up into three teams of nine for the second half of this morning’s hour-long session open to the Press.

Playing out a mini-triangular tournament of eight-minute games, it was the ‘blue team’ who won out thanks to a superior goal difference, aided by Lorenzo Insigne, Ignazio Abate, Alberto Gilardino and Riccardo Montolivo’s strikes.
