Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti insists the Champions League tie with Liverpool is not over despite Jurgen Klopp’s claims: ‘A promising victory.’

On Tuesday night, the Italian tactician led Real Madrid to become the first team scoring five goals at Anfield in a Champions League match.

“I think Carlo thinks the tie is over,” Klopp said at a post-match press conference on Tuesday night.

“And I think it was well at the moment, but I don’t know in three weeks. They quite good in counter-attacking and we have to score three goals there.”

However, the Italian tactician, a four-time Champions League winner, insists the tie is not over despite a big win in Liverpool.

“A promising victory to try to solve it with our fans at home,” Carletto wrote on social media.

Ancelotti has seen it all in his career, including Liverpool recovering from three goals down in the 2004-05 Champions League Final against his Milan side, lifting the trophy on penalties in Istanbul.

Ironically, this season’s Champions League Final will be played at the same venue, the Atatürk Olimpiyat Stadyumu in the Turkish capital.

Former Italy international Ancelotti praised Real Madrid star Vini Jr. after his brace against Liverpool on Tuesday, saying that the Brazilian winger is the most decisive player in the world at the moment.
