Inter made it to the Champions League quarter-finals the last time they faced Porto with Adriano, Javier Zanetti and Sinisa Mihajlovic in their starting line-up at San Siro.
The Nerazzurri host Sergio Conceiçao’s Porto at the Stadio Meazza tonight in the first leg of the Champions League Round of 16.
It’s their first meeting in Europe’s elite competition since 2004-05 when the two sides met in the same stage.
The first leg was played in Portugal and ended in a 1-1 draw with goals from Obafemi Martins and Ricardo Costa.
Nerazzurri star Adriano took centre stage in the decider in Milan scoring a hat-trick and helping Inter qualify for the Round of 16.
The coach was Roberto Mancini and he lined up a 4-4-2 formation with the Brazilian striker and Julio Ricardo Cruz up front.
Mihajlovic and Marco Materazzi played as centre-back with Ze Maria and Javier Zanetti completing a four-man defence. Another Zanetti, Cristiano started in midfield with Esteban Cambiasso, Dejan Stankovic and Juan Sebastian Veron.
