Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri believes tomorrow’s game against Milan will be ‘more difficult than usual’ following the Rossoneri’s loss against Chelsea in the Champions League.

The Old Lady visits the Serie A champions at San Siro tomorrow. Juventus beat Maccabi Haifa in the Champions League on Wednesday night, while the Rossoneri lost 3-0 at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea.

“We face the champions of Italy and it’s going to be more difficult than usual,” the Italian tactician said at a press conference.

“They come from a bad defeat in London in the Champions League so they’ll be looking for revenge tomorrow. It will be a great game, there are all the conditions to do well. We have never won away this season, hopefully, the first time is tomorrow. We are ready to play.”

Juventus didn’t win any of their matches against the top three in Serie A last season. Is it something the Bianconeri must improve this term?

“Right now, we must make results, we dropped five points against Salernitana and Monza, we are behind and we need to take a step at a time,” said Allegri.

“The season is long, the most important thing is to gain consistent results, in order to do it, we need a high-level performance.

“We have 10 games remaining before the break, we must focus on one at a time.”

Leonardo Bonucci was introduced in the second half against Maccabi while Arek Milik rested due to a muscle problem. Will they be back tomorrow?

“Bonucci will be back, Milik is feeling better, he should be available, but I will assess him between today and tomorrow,” Allegri claimed.

The Bianconeri will be without Angel Di Maria who will end his two-match ban at San Siro tomorrow.

“Milan have great players, Leao can shift the balance. We’ll need personality to play at San Siro, it will be an important test,” continued Allegri.

“They create a lot on the left, so we should not leave space for them and be exposed to counter-attacks. Milan have other great players like Giroud, De Ketelaere and Diaz.

“They are doing better because they have four points more than us. I can only compliment Pioli for the job he is doing and the title he won last season. The numbers are on his side.”

Juventus won two games in a row after the international break against Bologna and Maccabi and are currently seven points behind table leaders Atalanta and Napoli in Serie A.

  1. allegri making excuses already, its not harder – its the same – a draw or win = we cannot afford to lose.

if we lose by a dodgy call/ deflection goal – then thats fine.

  2. Love it. PhD Max is like Mozart and keeps bringing the fans coma calcio symphony. That is why the CALMAAA!!! commands the big bucks for moments like this. Done with prime delivery and expect dollar tree calcio at the San Siro.

  3. They’re doomed already. One this guy starts talking like this he’s going to have his team sit deep and play scared for 90 min as usual.

  4. There’s literally nothing this guy can say to his haters. If he’d said, we’re going to San Siro and will easily walk away with 3 points, you’d say he was deluded and lacking respect for the league champions. Unlike some who are all bluster and then lose to Brandon, it’s better to let the players do the talking on the pitch.

  5. 😄 @Fatecisognare let it go. My god Lord has done a number on you and you’re like a stalker.

  6. @Corgi I know. He used to make good points but is now obsessed with the patron saint. Like a bitter ex wife he still refuses to move on.
