Interviewed in Il Corriere della Sera, Allegri said: "I know that it's a derby.

"I know that it's the most important game in Italy, but I know that Milan are mentally ready to face it.

"It's not like we have become poor after losing to Juventus. And it's not like we have become phenomenal after beating Bari and Palermo.

"It takes balance.

"Despite going through a rough patch, Inter played a good game in Lecce. They missed many goalscoring chances.

"I believe that we will find them in good condition. I have never been through a derby. For me this will be the first. But by playing at home, we won't lack motivation.

"We must go on the pitch remembering that we are three points ahead of Inter."
