The two clubs face off in the Coppa Italia quarter-final at the Stadio Olimpico on Wednesday evening, with kick-off at 19:45 UK time.

The winner will face the victor of tonight’s clash between Napoli and Inter at the San Paolo in a two-legged semi-final.

“Tomorrow in Rome we will play with a strong team, with the objective of getting to the next round,” Allegri said at today’s Press conference.

“Hernanes will replace Marchisio in theory.  As for Bonucci and Chiellini, I will see.

“Pogba has played a lot of games, he could be rested again. Asamoah will be available.

“The team has given no signs of weakness, even with many changes. Tomorrow the best team will go out onto the pitch, also with Sunday’s game in mind.

“Morata will get back to scoring more, he has great quality and hasn’t lost it. Tomorrow we’ll see who will play. Mandzukic and Dybala are doing well. Zaza deserves to play for his statistics.

“Barzagli trained yesterday, he should return on Thursday for the match on Sunday.”

Allegri also took a moment to praise third-tier Alessandria, who defeated Spezia last night to set up a semi-final against Milan.

“I compliment Alessandria, they deserve it,” he said.

“In England this happens often and it’s the beauty of the competition.”
