The striker had been due to join Juventus last month, but failed a medical due to a cardiac issue and the move was abandoned.

Today he was given the all-clear to begin training again and partake in professional football, but Sampdoria did not issue him a squad number.

“I will not comment on any specific club,” agent Pavel Paska told isport.cz.

“We need to agree the next step with Sampdoria, seeing as the (€25m) release clause expired on July 15. One thing is for certain, the price for the player will be considerably higher than the release clause.

“There are three clubs in the running. The transfer window in Italy runs until August 31. At the moment we are only at the starting line.”

Sky Sport Italia reported Inter were prepared to pay €30.5m for the 21-year-old Czech Republic international.

Also interested in Schick are Roma, Napoli, Monaco and Tottenham Hotspur.
