Valencia continue to negotiate with Inter after reports Geoffrey Kondogbia requested a transfer to Spain.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the French midfielder told directors he wants a move to La Liga after weeks of interest from Valencia.

However, the €35m price-tag is beyond their means and the two clubs are trying to find a solution.

It could be worked out as a loan with obligation to buy at the end of the season.

Another option would be for Valencia to sign Kondogbia outright for a much smaller fee, but with Inter gaining a percentage on any future transfer.

Valencia are also discussing their bid for Inter defender Jeison Murillo.

Kondogbia arrived at San Siro from Monaco in the summer of 2015 for €36m plus bonuses after a bidding war with city rivals Milan.

He is not part of new Coach Luciano Spalletti’s plans and has been pushed out by the arrival of Matias Vecino and Borja Valero.
