Tammy Abraham is ‘happy at Roma‘ but refuses to rule out a potential return to Chelsea: ‘Only God knows the future.’

The England international joined the Giallorossi on a permanent €40m deal from the Blues in 2021. However, the Premier League giants have an €80m buy-back clause to bring the product of their academy back to the club in 2023.

“For me, my focus is to do exactly what I did last year. I’m happy here. The team is good,” Abraham told Ojb Sport after Roma’s 2-1 loss over Real Betis last night.

“The manager is good. The city, the fans…I am happy, but you never know the future, only God knows the future.”

Abraham became Roma’s most prolific debutant in 2021-22 scoring 27 goals in 52 appearances. This season, he has only netted twice in 10 games under José Mourinho.

  1. No way in hell Chelsea will pay that buy out clause. Does anyone think Abraham is worth 80 mill euros????

  2. If he continued his goal scoring rise in serie a, why not. Unfortunately for us Roma fans, he looks like half the player he was last season so far.

  3. Temmy Abraham conversion rate is 1/10 chances on goal. If roma are able to sell him for 40m€ they should count themselves lucky.
If any buy come for him roma should sell him fast.

  4. @donato – chelsea dont have to py the release clause lets be honest if the put a bid in for 55-60m euros they will sell
