Milan will wear black armbands in this evening’s Champions League Round of 16 tie against Tottenham Hotspur after the death of former Rossoneri and England assistant manager Italo Galbiati.

It kicks off at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium at 20.00 GMT.

The teams are going to be wearing black armbands as a sign of mourning following the death of Galbiati at the age of 85.

He was best associated with Milan from 1978 to 1996, working as caretaker coach for 26 games in the early 1980s.

Galbiati was assistant manager under Fabio Capello, Arrigo Sacchi, Nils Liedholm, Massimo Giacomini, Ilario Castagner, Gigi Radice and Alberto Zaccheroni.

He also worked under Capello at Real Madrid, Roma, Juventus, plus the England and Russia national teams until his retirement in 2014.

Just like the first leg, Milan will be wearing their black and red striped jerseys with black shorts, while Tottenham Hotspur are in their traditional full white kit.
