OGC Nice announced the signing of Aaron Ramsey and their announcement only confirmed how much of a failure his time at Juventus really was.

The midfielder became a free agent after terminating his contract with Juve by mutual consent, receiving circa €3m severance pay.

He had been expected to go to MLS or return to the Premier League, but has this evening signed for Ligue 1 side OGC Nice.

The presentation video of career highlights all featured only his appearances in the Arsenal jersey, despite the fact he left them for Juve in 2019.

So Nice could not find a single clip of Ramsey over the three seasons at Juventus, perhaps unsurprising considering he only made 69 competitive appearances for them.

Incredibly, the official statement on the Nice website also barely mentioned Juve, managing to call the club ‘La Vecchia Donna’ rather than La Vecchia Signora.

The real name means The Old Lady, their version translates as The Old Woman.

  1. To be fair to Ramsey, he chose the option to living in the south of France to living somewhere like Newcastle or Leeds. The money may be better in the latter but the former is far more attractive. And it’s not that far from Turin. I wonder if he has become attracted to the area?

  2. lol at the comments from Lord Allegri as usual. The Old Woman… hehe.
Good for Ramsey, he will play for a low profile team and will enjoy the millions stolen to the old ladrona. Well done Aaron, well done…
