Charles De Ketelaere is currently flying from Brussels in a private jet, set for his medical with Milan tomorrow, completing the €35m transfer.

The 21-year-old midfielder had been expected at Linate already, but his flight was delayed due to a lack of slots for private flights at the airport.

He is now set to land at circa 23.30 local time and is reported to have already embarked on the jet in Brussels.

It took months of negotiations, but the Rossoneri finally struck a deal with Club Brugge for €32m plus €3m in bonuses and a percentage of the sell-on fee.

This makes him the most expensive player that Milan have purchased under the Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara era.

The most costly transfer under this particular stewardship of the club was Fikayo Tomori from Chelsea at €28.8m.

Since 2019, the biggest purchases were Franck Kessie at €32m from Atalanta and Rafael Leao for €29.5m from LOSC.
