Inter’s club manager Dejan Stankovic describes the side as “11 warriors” after a perfect start to the season.

The Nerazzurri have won all five of their opening Serie A games, and are already 10 points clear of last season’s champions, Juventus.

“We’re not playing brilliant football at the moment,” Stankovic admitted, speaking to Beta in his native Serbia.

“We’re not playing brilliant football at the moment,” Stankovic admitted, speaking to Beta in his native Serbia.

“We’re only in September though, there’s still time. For now, I like the way Inter are on the pitch, a battling team with 11 warriors. I think we’ve made an almost historic start to the season.”

Stankovic also took the time to discuss compatriot Sinisa Mihajlovic, who is Coach of city rivals Milan.

“He’s still learning as a Coach, his team can play good football but they’re lacking in concentration. I can’t say if they were better in the derby, but we were very solid.

“I’m happy for Sinisa, I told him that sooner or later he’d have a great opportunity.”
