A club statement today suggested he is unlikely to recover in time for the San Paolo meeting.

“Following his discomfort with breathing difficulties notified during the half-time break of the match against Frosinone, yesterday evening Lichtsteiner was taken to the Mauriziano hospital for tests, where he remained under observation until this morning,” read the statement on Juventus’ official website.

“The complete resolution of symptoms has enabled his discharge and his condition will be monitored over the next few days.

“The player did not train today and is unlikely to be available for the next match against Napoli.”
