Milan defender Rodrigo Ely will be out for the rest of the season after spraining his ankle.
The 22-year-old hasn’t featured for the Rossoneri since a 4-0 thumping at home to Napoli in October, and won’t play any further part this season.
“AC Milan announces that, during training yesterday, Rodrigo Ely suffered a sprain to his right ankle with involvement of the ligaments,” the club announced on its official website.

“AC Milan announces that, during training yesterday, Rodrigo Ely suffered a sprain to his right ankle with involvement of the ligaments,” the club announced on its official website.
“Broken bones have been ruled-out. In the coming days the player will undergo further medical examination to determine the prognosis.
“The recovery time is around four weeks, unless there are complications.”
With just three Serie A games remaining, Ely will miss the rest of the League season, and it’s unlikely he’d be involved in the Coppa Italia final against Juventus.
