“I feel very good in the role of CT, and I’m happy with the work I’m doing,” Conte explained in his Press conference ahead of the Romania friendly.

“I feel very good in the role of CT, and I’m happy with the work I’m doing,” Conte explained in his Press conference ahead of the Romania friendly.
“I didn’t expect to be able to develop a specific work in such a short space of time with these players, that’s gratifying and gives me satisfaction.
“That said, there will be time to talk to the Federation, but I also know that a lot will depend on the outcome, how things go.
“I’m thinking about what happened a year-and-a-half ago: [Cesare] Prandelli signed a contract renewal and after two months was forced to resign because it didn’t go well.
“We’re slaves the result, our work is evaluated by results and after that there’ll be time for everything else.”
The former Juventus Coach also praised his players and their willingness to adapt to his methods.
“We want to play an active football, not waiting, we want to force the play. I think that’s the best way, the right way for the team.
“Then, during the game, if we can offer a different interpretation of our system then so be it, but we know that’s more difficult with the national team.
“That said, the players I have available offer great willingness and openness, both mentally and tactically.”
Ciprian Tatarusanu of Fiorentina and Napoli’s Vlad Chiriches are expected to play for the visitors in Bologna tomorrow, but Conte isn’t just focused on the ‘Italian’ element of Romania.
“Tatarusanu has provem himself to be a great goalkeeper,” Conte admitted.
“Chiriches is a top player, but Romania have a good team overall. They were unbeaten in their group, they conceded the least goals.
“It will be an important test for us, and that’s what we’re looking for.”
