The former Sweden international returned to San Siro in January and helped lift both the morale and results at Milan.

His contract expires in June and his future with the Diavolo is uncertain and he has yet to make up his mind, other than claiming he wants to continue to play.

“I have a contract with Milan, and we will see how it ends there, if it will end,” he told Dplay, according to Sportbladet. “I have said I want to play football for as long as I possibly can, but you never know what will happen.

“I’m a person that wants to perform and to contribute with something, not just play because of what I have done or who I am.

“If you belong to a team, you have to contribute with something. We will see what happens.”

Zlatan spoke to Swedish media after a training match with Hammarby, where he has been keeping in shape during the current lockdown in Italy.
