Zinedine Zidane’s Real Madrid are in the Champions League Final, but ahead of Roma-Liverpool he warns “anything can happen in football.”

The Merengues clung on at the end of their 2-2 draw with Bayern Munich this evening, progressing 4-3 on aggregate to the Final in Kiev.

“We suffered against a great team, but at the end of the day, we did it again,” Zidane told Mediaset Premium.

He is the first Coach to reach three consecutive Champions League Finals since Marcello Lippi at Juventus in the 1990s.

“We started the match very badly, while we pressed more in the second half. We can’t just sit back and defend, that’s not what we do, so we are happy to be in the Final by playing as a great team.

“Now we’ve got to fight it out and we can defend the trophy again, but we haven’t won yet.”
