Inter President Steven Zhang will reportedly return to Milan to draw up plans for the Nerazzurri's future.

Zhang is currently in Nanjing, but according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, he could return to Milan next week to hold "crucial" meetings for the club's future and, possibly, enjoy Inter's first trophy in the Suning era.

Zhang will be requested to stay at home in self-quarantine for 14 days, as provided by Italian laws, but once the self-isolation period is over, he will meet the club's executives.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports Zhang will confirm Suning's commitment to supporting Inter financially and will decide the transfer budget for the summer transfer window.

According to the report, the Nerazzurri need to sign a new defender, a new central midfielder and a striker who can back up Romelu Lukaku.

The contract extensions of Lautaro Martinez and Alessandro Bastoni are also among the club's priorities and will be discussed with Zhang.

Suning wants to begin a new winning cycle and make a step forward in Europe. The Inter owners also need to solve the club's financial issues but seem willing to keep a majority stake in Inter.
