Inter‘s Curva Nord ultras have lost patience with President Steven Zhang and openly asked him to sell the club.
The Nerazzurri ultras posted a picture on their official Instagram account this morning writing ‘Zhang vattene’ (Zhang go away).
Inter have had financial issues following the COVID pandemic. Beppe Marotta was asked to cut costs and sell some of Inter’s best players to balance the books.
Achraf Hakimi and Romelu Lukaku left a year ago for a combined €183m fee including add-ons.
The striker is now back from Chelsea, but only on loan until the end of the season.
The Nerazzurri should have sold another top player in the summer, but eventually sent Andrea Pinamonti to Sassuolo and the youngster Cesare Casadei to Chelsea for a combined €40m fee.
Zhang and Suning had ambitious projects for Inter when they took over from Erick Thohir in 2016.
However, the COVID pandemic has severely affected the group’s finances, forcing club owners to eliminate their transfer budget over the last two years.
They do say a broken clock is right twice a day.
If it wasnt for Zhang the club would be in a much worse position. What have the ultras done for the club except cause controversy?? They are sell outs and Zhang should ban them from the stadium. Inzaghi Out!!!
Ultras are correct. It’s the club’s owners who are responsible for the formation of a competitive team. Because of their financial difficulties, Inter had to cut costs and can’t afford to buy players.
Dybala should be on this team. So should Bremer. They aren’t because Zhang and Suning can’t afford anything. If this keeps up, Inter will be a mid level club.
They should sell. It’s the right thing to do.
Ultras are 111% on point. They deserve to have a day because a team without the hardest core of fans is no Italian club. Period
That being said, the earlier suning gets the club sold the better for Italian football!
