Cagliari Coach Zdenek Zeman says it’s a ‘pleasure’ for his side to take on Juventus tomorrow evening.

The Isolani face the League leaders at home tomorrow, with the Bianconeri heading to Doha to play the Supercoppa on December 22.

“Which of their players would I take?” Zeman considered in his Press conference ahead of the game.

“All of them, but the problem is their team as a collective.

“We have to play our own game, we know it will be very difficult but we have to try.

“Playing Juventus is a pleasure, it gives you an added stimulus today just as it did 20 years ago.

“We don’t have much to worry about, because we don’t have much to lose.

“What matters is how we approach the game. We’ll have to fight for every ball, and make as few mistakes as possible both in defence and on the counter.

“I think [Antonio] Conte’s Juventus played at a higher tempo, whereas [Massimiliano] Allegri prefers more possession but in reality these are just details.”

Cagliari currently sit 18th in Serie A, inside the relegation zone, and the Czech tactician admits that he expected to be doing better.

“It’s not what we expected, neither ourselves nor the fans.

“We haven’t been winning at home, and it’s normal that that if you’re doing all you can and results aren’t coming then you start to get a bit concerned – especially because this is a young team without a lot of experience.”

A meeting was held yesterday in Milan between the Coaches of Serie A sides and Italy CT Antonio Conte. Zeman did not attend, but insists he is fully behind the Azzurri cause.

“We’ve got the game against Juventus tomorrow and I couldn’t leave the team just 48 hours before a match.

“I’d already said I wouldn’t be able to go, with a lot of regret.

“I think that the national team should be top footballing priority in any country.”

Zeman has also announced the squad which will take on the Bianconeri, with former Juve midfielder Albin Ekdal included in the party.

Cagliari squad to play Juventus: Carboni, Cragno;  Avelar, Balzano, Benedetti, Capuano, Ceppitelli, Murru, Pisano, Rossettini; Barella, Capello, Conti, Crisetig, Dessena, Donsah, Ekdal, Joao Pedro; Caio Rangel, Cossu, Farias, Ibarbo, Longo.
