Simone Zaza said the Juventus target is “to be in the top three in January” after a fourth consecutive victory in Palermo.

The Bianconeri moved into fifth place with tonight’s 3-0 win at the Stadio Barbera and are just three points off Roma.

“Our objective is to climb up the standings,” Zaza told Mediaset Premium.

“We set the target to be in the top three in January and at the midway stage of the season. We want to continue winning.”

The ex-Sassuolo striker scored with the last kick of the game after Mario Mandzukic and Stefano Sturaro goals, but did not particularly celebrate.

“I’d prefer to play more and score more goals, obviously, but I’ve never complained and I won’t start now. I am enjoying the moment and looking forward to the next.

“The veterans in the squad made themselves heard during difficult moments, we youngsters listened and you can see the results.”
