Nicolo Zaniolo is reportedly pushing for Galatasaray to accept Aston Villa’s offer as he insists on a move to the Premier League.

The 24-year-old Italian forward joined the Turkish side from Roma in February in a deal worth around €16.5m plus €13m in add-ons. He showed some positive signs in his first half season in Turkey, scoring 5 goals in 12 appearances.

Zaniolo has been heavily linked with a move away from Galatasaray this summer, initially being linked to Saudi Arabian clubs and Juventus before Aston Villa emerged with a concrete offer.

As highlighted by Fabrizio Romano, a few days have passed since Aston Villa submitted their official offer to Galatasaray for Zaniolo and the player is insistent on the move, keen to make the jump to England this month.

The Villans offered a €3m loan deal with a €27m total buy option attached – a €20m fixed fee with €7m in various add-ons. Galatasaray are currently evaluating the move and have dropped Zaniolo for their last three games, officially due to a ‘groin strain’.
