Nicolo Zaniolo is unavailable for Roma’s Serie A clash against Juventus tonight, meaning it’s likely that he’s one of the Giallorossi players out with COVID.

The Roman club announced earlier today that an unnamed player had tested positive for the match in the latest round of tests and with the Italian forward unavailable for an unspecified reason, it’s likely that he’s the player out with COVID. Roma also noted that the player who tested positive for the virus had been vaccinated.

The 22-year-old Zaniolo has made 23 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1591 minutes. In that time, he has scored three goals and provided three assists, but he has struggled to show his best under coach Jose Mourinho.

He will be hoping for a quick recovery from the virus in order to allow him to be available for the team’s next match against Cagliari on January 16.

  1. This guy can’t catch a break.

If it’s not one thing, it’s another.

Honestly doubt he is still in football by age 28. A shame, really.
