Javier Zanetti has refused to rule out a Scudetto challenge from his Inter side after victory in the Milan derby.

The Nerazzurri collected a 1-0 win against their city rivals on Sunday night despite playing for the majority of the second half with 10 men.

That result means that the San Siro giants, despite two losses this term, are just four points behind leaders Juventus and Napoli.

“Those two sides are deservedly ahead of us, but we’re up there too and we want to be in the title race come May,” he stated.

“We come away from here knowing we’re a strong team and this consistency can only be a good thing. We’re a humble side that can battle when we need to and we saw that against the Rossoneri.”
