The Argentine talent left in the summer for a huge €42m, though had been at the centre of a bidding war between the likes of Chelsea, Milan, Inter and Manchester City.
“PSG got a great deal with Pastore and I think within three years they will become one of the best teams in Europe,” Zamparini told Sky Sport Italia.
“We are also happy to have sold him at such a price. The first club to ask us for him in Italy was Juventus, as Beppe Marotta offered around €30m.”
Palermo were all set to release midfielder Armin Bacinovic to Serie B side Padova this week, but the move has been postponed by knee surgery.
“Perhaps the deal with Padova will collapse due to the injury. It’s certainly disappointing, especially for Bacinovic, as his desire to play led him to disguise this physical problem. Now we are prepared to cover the cost of the player until he can recover.
“I think by signing half of Emiliano Viviano’s contract, we did something fantastic on the market. Now our objective is to cut down the squad, which has 30 players.”
There were reports that his one point from three games would prompt Bortolo Mutti’s dismissal and the return of former Coach Devis Mangia.
“I never even remotely considered it,” assured Zamparini. “Mutti is the right man for Palermo at this difficult moment. He is a Coach with the right experience.”
