The forward will join up with the Bianconeri next season, with the deal thought to be worth around €40m once cash, bonuses and players in exchange are added together.

“I received offers from Milan, Inter and Juventus in Italy,” the Palermo President told La Politica nel Pallone.

The forward will join up with the Bianconeri next season, with the deal thought to be worth around €40m once cash, bonuses and players in exchange are added together.

“I received offers from Milan, Inter and Juventus in Italy,” the Palermo President told La Politica nel Pallone.

“I had other offers which were a bit more tentative from abroad. The player has chosen the best team at the moment, which is in the Champions League and will give him greater exposure.

“He’s the new [Lionel] Messi, Juventus have paid €32m plus bonuses to get him. He’ll find players there who speak the same language.

“It was a great deal for both [Palermo and Juventus], I’ve balanced the budget and [Juventus director general Giuseppe] Marotta, who knows that you need the best players in the world for certain results, is moving forward with intelligence.”
