CalcioNews24 are reporting that Alberto Zaccheroni could be set to leave his position as Coach of the Japanese national team after the World Cup.

The former Milan boss has been at the helm in the Far East since 2010 and guided the team to the AFC Nations Cup in 2011.

He also successfully navigated the nation’s path to Brazil this summer but, according to the report, numerous sources close to the Japanese Football Association say that the 61-year-old will leave the post once he has presided over the World Cup campaign.

Speculation is mounting as to what Zaccheroni’s next move will be, with both English side Fulham and the Chinese national team being touted as possible destinations.

Meanwhile, Espanyol Coach Javier Aguirre has been mentioned as a potential successor to his current position.
