Alberto Zaccheroni has managed both Milan and Inter, but feels the Rossoneri are “superior in every way” ahead of Sunday’s derby.

“The favourites are Milan and I think they have a great chance of winning. At this moment they are superior to Inter in every way,” the current Japan manager told Sky Sport Italia.

“Therefore right now my prediction is certainly in favour of Milan. Both teams are a little tired at this stage, as Inter had a chaotic season with so many ups and downs, not to mention three different Coaches.

“Milan showed good quality in their football, although not as consistent as Juventus” data-scaytid=”33″>Juventus throughout the campaign.”

Only one point separates the two teams at the top of the table with two rounds to go, as Juve dropped points against Lecce midweek.

“I was absolutely convinced Juventus would do well this year, but even I didn’t think they’d reach this point,” added ex-Bianconeri boss Zaccheroni.

“I was surprised by how they played, above all their consistency while changing tactical systems based on the characteristics of their opponents. This great motivation, determination and intensity were certainly unexpected by everyone.”

Although Milan are in the running for a second consecutive Scudetto, there are reports Massimiliano Allegri could be sacked.

“Allegri certainly deserves to stay on the bench because he won Serie A last season and, if the worst comes to worst, he’ll finish second this year. With all the injury problems he had to deal with, fighting to the end means he deserves another chance, in my view.”

The race for third place is also raging on, as Udinese and Napoli are currently joined together, followed by Lazio and Inter.

“People rarely talk about Udinese, but in my view they are the favourites. It’s true Lazio threw it away by dropping so many points, but the consistency and strength of Udinese should be underlined.

“Without taking anything away from Napoli, who at this stage may well be the favourites, I think the side that deserves third place is Udinese.”
