Samir Handanovic has pledged his future to Udinese and is confident they can get back into the Champions League.

The Slovenian international goalkeeper has been linked with a move away, most notably to Manchester United.

“This is a wonderful city and I am fortunate enough to be part of a club that sets the template for others, delivering everything a player needs to do well,” he told Udinese Channel.

“I am proud to wear this jersey and we are confirming our status at the highest levels. I am in my full maturity as a player, am very happy in Udine and can see my future at the Friuli with the ambition to achieve great targets nationally and internationally.”

Udinese are currently joint third with Napoli and hope to clinch that final Champions League berth.

“We are there with Napoli and will try to take our chances, aware we have to give our all in the next two games. In order to stoke those Champions League dreams, we must play like Udinese from here to the end of the season.”
