It’ll run for 18 months, so Inter essentially pay off the rest of his salary for this season (€3m) and pay another €3m for all of next term.

The pay cut is accepted in exchange for a straight 18-month contract rather than having it for six months with option to extend.

Young is determined to push through the transfer to San Siro, rejecting Manchester United’s offer of a contract extension.

As he’d be a free agent in June anyway, Inter are reticent to pay any transfer fee, but it’s reported the clubs should eventually agree to €1.5m.
