Former Chelsea and England midfielder Dennis Wise commented on Gianluca Vialli’s latest Instagram post, saying he is waiting for Italy in the UEFA Euro 2020 Final.
The Azzurri landed in London on Monday afternoon and chief delegate Gianluca Vialli posted a picture from inside the airplane that took the team to Luton Airport.
The former Sampdoria and Chelsea striker wrote: “Final (?) destination: London!” receiving hundreds of likes and comments within one hour.
One of those was from his former teammate Dennis Wise who predicted a Final between the Azzurri and England.
Italy face Spain in the semi-finals of UEFA Euro 2020 on Tuesday, while England play Denmark on Wednesday.
Both games will be played at Wembley Stadium and so is the Final, scheduled on Sunday, July 11.
Vialli and Wise spent three seasons together in London.
The former Italy striker moved to Stamford Bridge from Juventus in the summer of 1996. He scored 40 goals in 78 appearances with the Blues before retiring from football.
