Serie A Defender of the Year Bremer is attracting interest from some of the world’s most important clubs, and Tuttosport suggest Torino would be best off by accepting Tottenham Hotspur’s bid.

The report suggests Spurs, having qualified for the Champions League and by virtue of being in the Premier League, have the financial muscle to offer superior terms than Inter and Milan – the trio making up the main contenders for the Brazilian’s signature.

Whereas Inter would likely need to structure the deal somewhat, Spurs could offer Torino straight cash, which would allow them to spend on improving the squad in several areas this summer.

Among the players Tuttosport claim Torino would be interested in is new Italy starlet Wilfried Gnonto and Cagliari forward Joao Pedro.

Torino may be open to a player exchange, with Inter’s Federico Dimarco among those mooted.

The report adds that meeting between Toro director Davide Vagnati and Spurs counterpart Fabio Paratici is set for London this week.

Having seemingly missed out on Inter defender Alessandro Bastoni, Spurs have now turned their attentions to Bremer but their opening bid of €30 million plus bonuses falls well below Torino’s asking price, according to Tuttosport.

  1. Seriously, this is BS. I am Roma supporter but I want Bremer to stay in Serie A for the good of the league. I’ve had enough of Spurs, Paratici and Conte. Find your players somewhere else.

  2. “Bremer is attracting interest from some of the world’s most important clubs” – what makes Tottenham one of the make important clubs? They aren’t any more important than Milan or Inter, actually they haven’t won anything in 40 years now – haven’t won premiership in 60 years!!! They are garbage club!

  3. This site has pretty much turned into Chelsea and Tottenham fanboy news site. Why even bother calling it football Italia anymore?

  4. Why are people blaming Footba Italia, FI don’t have agendas they are just reporting. Obviously Tuttosport are the ones with an agenda who prefer to see Bremer not join a Milan club…

  5. I really don’t want Bremer to leave Torino, but I’m resigned to the reality it will happen. If some of that money was reinvested in Gnonto that would certainly soften the blow.

  6. Serie a should keep their talent
That’s a definite way of boosting other talent creating a greater view base
Potential sales of great investment .
Laxing all those ridiculous rules and red tape for stadium construction.
Then the league can benefit greater financial rewards
