Roma must earn €30m by the end of the month, so the next ten days will be crucial for Tottenham if they want to sign the Giallorossi defender Roger Ibanez.

Spurs have been linked with a move for the Brazilian centre-back, but no offer has yet been presented to Roma, Football Italia understands.

As highlighted by Sky Sport Italia, the Giallorossi must register €30m capital gains by the end of the month to balance the books, so the next ten days will be crucial for them.

Director Tiago Pinto is finalising sales of some young players to get the money the club need by the end of the month.

Benjamin Tahirovic has already joined Ajax for circa €8m, while Cristian Volpato and Filippo Missori are expected to follow the 20-year-old out of the Stadio Olimpico, joining Serie A side Sassuolo.

Their departures won’t be enough to get €30m, so the Giallorossi need more sales before the summer transfer window officially starts. The club will listen to offers for Ibanez and may accept low bids for the 24-year-old to reach their financial target during this time.

The club faced the same situation a few years ago when James Pallotta was at the helm and sold Mohamed Salah to Liverpool for just €42m on June 2017.
