Tuttosport confirms Jorge Mendes is trying to bring Cristiano Ronaldo to Napoli and Victor Osimhen to Manchester United, but the Nigeria international doesn’t seem entirely convinced of joining the Red Devils.

Sky Sport Italia reported last night that Ronaldo is desperate to leave Old Trafford to play Champions League football this season, so his agent Jorge Mendes has offered him to several Italian clubs, including Inter, Milan and Napoli.

With Osimhen being a long-time target of the Red Devils, Mendes’ plan is to bring Ronaldo to the Stadio Maradona and the Nigeria striker to Old Trafford.

According to Tuttosport, Osimhen’s agent Roberto Calenda has been informed about the possible deal, but his client isn’t entirely convinced of joining the Red Devils.

Osimhen also wants to play Champions League football and is convinced he can further develop under Luciano Spalletti this term.

Negotiations between the two clubs haven’t begun, but according to Tuttosport, Mendes’ plan is to bring Ronaldo on loan to Napoli, while United would sign Osimhen for €100m, offering him a salary exceeding €10m per season.

18 thought on “Why Osimhen has doubts about Manchester United move”
  1. I think it is irritating how it seems like serie A in general is grooming their biggest stars for the premier league…if it continues this way, nothing will be left

  2. Napoli would be back in Maradona glory times, they have to take this oportunity, ronaldo would fit perfectly for their dynamic playing stile

  3. A lot of money but I wouldn’t take it, his pace makes the attack work, take it away and they can be neutralised like last previously when he was out.

  4. team hopping ronaldo…. yawn … It would do more for his legacy if he stayed and helped Man united back into CL . it would stagnate the careers of raspadori & simeone if he came in demanding to take every free kick ETC ….

  5. It would be foolish for Napoli to bring in CR7. Osimhen is the future. Napoli has built a good young team. Ronaldo would not compliment it. Also we know how Spalletti hates to be overshadowed. Look what he did to Totti.

  6. Osimhen is future? He is future for premier league, its only question of time when he leave and for what price

  7. I can’t even believe that there are sooo many foolish ppl here, thinking CR7 would be a better fit for Napoli, then Oshimen! It’s pathetic! Won’t even mention how CR7 willcompletely disturb this new & young team of Napoli. And to tell you the truth, Man-U make me sick with their abominable proposals, offering each player 2, 3 time bigger payment than what they earn! If UEFA should do something, it ought to be, stopping this ind-rape by clubs like Man-U, PSG, Chelsea

  8. To Dimitri: this means you not love napoli at all if you want to sell Osimhen after season for 20 millions, like fabio ruiz was worth 100 millions and now psg are taking him for 20

  9. So Spalletti ends the careers of Legends Totti and DeRossi, but he’s gonna sign the aging CR7? Makes no sense to me.

  10. I had to read this twice and still don’t understand… how is Osimhen worth 100 million? Maybe 30m

  11. Don’t know how some above posters believe if they get Ronaldo they will be challenging to win Serie A + CL – is beyond me, man u fans + manager are saying he’s too slow – main reason why man utd beat Liverpool was because they were more fluid without him.

Napoli play faster football than man utd – so losing osimhen and bringing Ronaldo in, wont be a good idea

  12. Absolutely no way! Ronaldo is very selfish and slow, no way to fit him in the Napoli system, and there are no real alternatives to Osimhen on the market rn, even for 100M. Keep Osimhen at least for this season, maybe sell next summer after finding a proper, young alternative.
